HR Coordinator Vacancy

Part time, 27.5hrs per week,

Fixed Term Contract until October 2018

9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday

Term Time Only plus Insets, plus 5 days

£18,070 to £20,138 per annum (pro rata)

We have an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to begin/further their career with the field of HR. We are currently looking for an exceptional self-starter, with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our busy team as a HR Coordinator to support the HR/Recruitment team with all administration tasks.

The HR Coordinator will report into the Head of Human Resources and work with the HR Business Manager (Primary) providing general HR administration covering a wide spectrum of HR activities including recruitment and selection, payroll, contracts and paperwork relating to terms and conditions of employment and the administration of the starter/leaver processes.

This role is offered on a fixed term contract until October 2018, working part time, 27.5 hours per week, from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. You will work for 40 weeks of the year on a Term Time only, plus Inset days, plus a further 5 days (to be worked during school holidays) basis. The actual pro rata starting salary is £11,796.65 per annum.

Duties will include:

  • Prepare letters or contracts for any changes to employer terms and conditions
  • Support the HR department with ad hoc project work
  • Dealing with all personnel files including the regular audit of staff files
  • Ensuring all recruitment checks are carried out including ensuring references are obtained within strict timescales
  • Managing all phone enquires
  • Handling paperwork for all new starters, leavers and staff changes
  • Assist in the processing of DBS applications
  • Support the HR systems and databases
  • Provide information to and liaise with the outsourced payroll provider
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality of information relating to the Trust and its staff
  • Adhere to Trust policy and procedure at all times

Previous experience of working within a HR Environment would certainly be advantageous, but is not a necessity as full training will be provided. What is crucial is a demonstrable track record as an exceptional and efficient administrator combined with a strong work ethic and the enthusiasm, motivation and willingness to make an all-round contribution to the team.

  • Tact, discretion, diplomacy and ability to keep confidentiality.
